WHAT IS WEWORK?

WeWork is so much more than workspace. Around the world, we provide opportunities for those who do what they love, to connect, engage, and inspire each other. Our community of creators epitomize "work hard, play hard," and nowhere is that more evident than Summer Camp.

WHAT IS WEWORK SUMMER CAMP?

This is our sixth year hosting WeWork Summer Camp, and 2017 will be our first time in the United Kingdom. Experience a festival-esque getaway where folks gather from around the world to take a break from the hustle and enjoy the great outdoors. The connections we make at camp are invaluable, and we're excited to be bringing that spirit to a fresh environment.

As a camper, you get all-inclusive access to all your meals from our dining tents and drinks from the bars, boutique camping, wellness and fitness classes, networking workshops, music, dance parties, lake boating and wild swimming, team sports and games, classic camp activities, archery and wilderness walks, creative workshops, and so much more!

This is an adventure like none other. We're thrilled to be sharing one of the most-anticipated parts of the WeWork experience.

WHAT'S THIS REALLY ABOUT?

Summer Camp is both an escape from the office and an unparalleled experience for our community. It's a chance for us to connect outside of work, and simply live fully and freely for a few days.

This is a weekend for you! We want you to create your perfect camp experience, whatever that means to you. Step out of your comfort zone and meet new pals on the football pitch, grab your old friends and dance under the stars, or roll solo to recharge in the relaxation area and take a mindfulness class to help bring on your next big idea.

WeWork Summer Camp is unforgettable. Don't take our word for it—experience it yourself!

“You don’t understand the unabashed power of community until you’re a part of one.”

    Care & Safety

    Care & Safety

WeWork Summer Camp is a time to revel in the outdoors...safely. Take the time to read through this section so you're prepared for the unexpected.

    Medical Tent

Medical tents will be located onsite at camp and operate 24 hours a day for anyone who requires medical assistance. If you're feeling unwell, visit the Medical Tent as soon as you can. The medics are experienced, qualified, and fully equipped to deal with any situation.

Please familiarise yourself with the location of the medical tents shortly after you arrive at camp. Look out for your fellow campers and inform an event staff member or security if you notice that someone seems unwell.

    Information Tent & Lost Property

The HQ tent will be located in a central location onsite and open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. with camp staff or security. Visit us if you have any questions or require any assistance. The staff there will be able to provide you with helpful answers for most problems and emergencies.

All lost-and-found items are kept at the HQ tent. Go there to report any missing items and to turn in any found items—your fellow campers thank you!

We suggest marking any items you would wish to be returned with your name, address, postcode, and telephone number. Also, take note of your IMEI number for your phone and have it on hand. As soon as you realize that any of your property is missing, inform the Security team at the HQ tent. Do not wait until you get home.

Please note: all unclaimed lost property will be held for 15 days after Summer Camp. Any items still in our possession after this time will be donated to charity.

    Crime Prevention

It’s important to make sure you’re being as careful as possible even though crime is unlikely at Summer Camp. Here are some best practices, based on any similar camping or festival weekend:

    VALUABLES:

    • We ask all campers to leave their valuables at home.
    • Small lockers will be available for your use. Lock up any valuables, such as wallet, passports, and phones rather than keeping belongings in your tent.
    • Don’t bring large amounts of cash. Your ticket is all-inclusive so there will be little need for it. There will be no cash machines onsite.
    • Only take the items in your wallet that you really need. Leave any unnecessary cards and keys at home.
    • If you must drive, do not leave any valuables visible in your car. Empty all belongings from your glove compartment and leave it open.

    CAMPING:

    • There's always safety (and fun) in numbers; if you bring your own tent, set up camp with your friends or get to know your neighbors.
    • In the off chance you see someone poking around your tent, take a note of what they look like and report them to event staff or Security rather than challenge them directly. They may just be confused, but we care about your safety first!

    REPORTING A CRIME ONSITE:

    • If you witness a crime or become a victim of any sort, it’s important that you report it immediately so we can act on it as soon as possible. You're our #1 priority.
    • Security staff will be patrolling the entire Estate. It's their job to help you stay safe and keep their eyes out for anything suspicious.

      Accessibility

WeWork is committed to making the festival site as accessible as possible. However, given the rural setting, there are challenges for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues. The site will be equipped with accessible bathrooms and there will be dedicated accessible parking. To reserve your accessible parking space, or to inform the Summer Camp team that you need a carer to accompany you, or if you have any other accessibility-related requests, please email summercamp@wework.com.

      Helpful Camp Tips

      • We're all in this together. Look after yourself and others!
      • Wear your wristband at all times. The wristbands alone are not valid for entry—please review the ticketing section in the FAQ for more details.
      • Hydrate and use sun protection. Just like your mum told you.
      • If you find something that isn't yours, bring it to the HQ tent.
      • High-five a stranger.
      • Respect your neighbors! Knock if you plan on entering someone else's tent and be considerate at night so all campers get their rest.
      • Pro tip! Afternoons are much better for shower queues than the early morning. Hot water and tranquillity—you’ll feel much better for it.
      • Take lots of photos. #WWCAMP17
      • Amplified music will and must be off during quiet hours from 2:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
      • Protect your ears! Wear earplugs if you are planning on getting up close and personal with the speakers.
      • Smoking is not allowed in any structures or tents.
      • For your safety, there is no drinking allowed if you are taking part in any water or extreme activities.
      • This weekend is all about connecting, which often means disconnecting—from your cell phone.
      • Get your hands dirty in the great outdoors but then remember to clean them. There are either taps or hand sanitizer available by the loo blocks.
      • At night, stick to the well-lit areas of the event. Always keep a flashlight on you and watch where you are walking.
      • Swimming is open only when a lifeguard is present.
      • The phone signal onsite can sometimes be disrupted. Pick a meeting point with your friends at the beginning of camp so you can find each other with ease.
      • Camp is in an outdoor rural location, and the weather is unpredictable. Please ensure you bring appropriate footwear and clothing.
      • Respect the campsite and make sure to throw away all rubbish. Please clean your tent before leaving and help clean up camp on the way out!
